Community Guidelines

Building a positive, productive learning environment for all students. These guidelines ensure Studilax remains a safe space for education.

Last updated: February 14, 2026

Welcome to the Studilax community! We are building a platform where students of all ages can learn effectively using AI-powered tools. These Community Guidelines exist to ensure that every member of our community can benefit from Studilax in a safe, respectful, and productive environment.

By using Studilax, you agree to follow these guidelines. These rules apply to all content shared on the platform, including:

  • Notes and study materials you upload
  • Flashcards and quizzes you create
  • AI Tutor conversations
  • Community discussions (if available)
  • Feedback and reviews

Remember: These guidelines are designed to protect and support you. When in doubt, ask yourself: "Would I want this in my classroom?"

Treat all community members with respect and courtesy. We are all here to learn and grow.

Always Do:

  • Use welcoming and inclusive language
  • Be patient with others, especially newcomers
  • Respect different viewpoints and experiences
  • Give constructive feedback
  • Welcome students of all backgrounds and skill levels

Never Do:

  • Use offensive or discriminatory language
  • Harass, bully, or intimidate others
  • Share personal attacks or derogatory comments
  • Spam or engage in repetitive behavior that disrupts others
  • Troll or intentionally provoke negative reactions

Why It Matters

A respectful environment helps everyone learn better. When students feel safe and valued, they are more likely to ask questions, share ideas, and engage deeply with their studies.

Studilax is designed to help you learn, not to replace your own work. We take academic integrity seriously.

Use AI as a Learning Tool, Not a Cheat Sheet

  • Good: Using AI to explain concepts you do not understand, generate practice questions, or review material
  • Bad: Submitting AI-generated content as your own original work without understanding it
  • Good: Using flashcards and quizzes to test your knowledge and identify gaps
  • Bad: Memorizing AI answers without learning the underlying concepts

Best Practices for Learning

  • Always review and understand AI-generated content before using it
  • Verify important facts with reliable sources
  • Use the AI Tutor to ask follow-up questions when something is unclear
  • Create your own notes and summaries in addition to AI-generated ones
  • Take practice quizzes to test your actual understanding

Important: Some educational institutions have specific policies about using AI tools. Always follow your school or university guidelines.

Studilax uses AI to help you learn more effectively. Here is how to get the most out of our AI features while using them responsibly.

Understanding AI Limitations

  • AI can make mistakes (called "hallucinations"). Always verify important information.
  • AI responses are based on patterns in training data and may not always be accurate or up-to-date.
  • AI does not "know" you or your specific curriculum - context helps!
  • AI is a tool to supplement your learning, not replace critical thinking.

Getting Better AI Responses

  • Be specific: Instead of "Explain photosynthesis," try "Explain photosynthesis as if teaching a high school freshman"
  • Provide context: Tell AI what grade level or course you are studying
  • Ask follow-ups: If something is unclear, ask for clarification
  • Iterate: Refine your questions to get better results

Example Prompts

Less Effective

"What is calculus?"

More Effective

"Explain limits and derivatives in calculus for a beginner. Include simple examples and common mistakes to avoid."
